I think I'm a little too obsessed with space ._.
Anyway, I haven't been able to sleep tonight because I've been having hot-flashes, nausea, back pain, dizziness, all along with a massive migraine, so I painted this to kind of destress. It helped, but I still can't sleep and it's 8 am. I also have school too. Lol I'm screwed.
Now this time, I'm actually gonna write about the piece itself. I know, shocking, right? A legit description. lol
The idea came from a conversation I had with my boyfriend last night. I told him I had recently wore a swimsuit while at a hotel with my band, and my stomach showed a bit. See, I'm fat and have stretch marks. I feel like I'm disgusting, especially my stomach. When I wore it, it took me a while, but I actually began to feel comfortable, despite my poor self image. I was still nervous, but the anxiety was easing off. On the way back to my room, however, I went to look for a towel to use to shower, and someone very rudely told me to cover up. Seems ridiculous, but it hurt me. I finally started to feel confident for the first time, and then it was shot down. I really don't know that I'll be able to wear a swimsuit in public again anytime soon. I know it's pathetic, but that's just how I am.
Even so, I ended up painting this to remind me that no matter what the outside is like, there's always something beautiful on the inside to look at.

First off I love the whole concept and idea of this painting. It really shows how we all can have a huge contrast between our inner selves and outer selves!
The positioning and everything is just right! "Goldilocks" positioning! lol
I also see that you stuck your signature in the colored clouds. Honestly, if I were I would've just written it in black and place it in either bottom corner of the page. BUT then again I think you should leave it, cuz it really makes it seem like a constellation, which makes it blend in more with the picture which is pretty neat!
You did a wonderful job careful painting the transitions of the colors in those clouds!
Honestly the only small thing that is out of place here for me is the sketch lines on the character, it just doesn't fit in with the rest of the image.
Other than that, amazing job on this piece! And keep up the great work!
